It's been so long since my last post that blogger tried to tell me I needed a new cookie, or something like that. My reason for not posting....a kitchen face lift is in the works and it happens tomorrow. I hosted recipe club tonight, and Sarah reminded me that I needed to take a before picture, but of course my camera charger is missing so Eka took pictures for me. So, stay tuned for the before and after transformation.
We have just been keeping busy toddler style. Trey is "playing" soccer now. It is not a soccer team, but it is a parent/child clinic. Kenny, Trey, and Swede went to the first practice together so now he has it in his head that Grace and I are not allowed to go (oh nuts). Swede and Kenny got worried because they looked like a couple with a son when they took him to the practice together. I assured them that they were the only ones thinking that. Trey was just excited that his friend Swede came to watch him play.
We just spent another week looking for Trey's glasses and he actually found them on his own today, or he know where they were all along, who knows. Grace will be 2 on May 1st, 2....I really can't believe it has been 2 years. So that makes me also remember that we are getting close to summer. I am trying to figure out what we will do once summer arrives and all of our scheduled activities go away. It makes antsy to think of all the free time we will have. On another note, Trey is convinced that I am pregnant (I'm not) and that I am carrying the babies in my chest (by his calculations I am about 3 months along).....so I worry a little that he will bring that up at preschool.
Grace is her own cute self. She LOVES, LOVES, LOVES babies. She is fascinated with baby Caroline (April's new baby). She loves to watch her, touch her, and talk about her. Today I found her reading to one of her dolls. This is the part that has been so different from having a boy. Her shoe fetish continues. I bought her some basic white sandals the other day to go with her Easter dress. My mistake was that they were not shiny or sparkly or pink. I presented them to her 3 times and on the third time she said "no mommy new shoe". I was worried I was going to have to sprinkle glitter on them for her to wear them, but then she realized that they had a small flower on the side and she has worn them a couple times but they are definitely not a favorite.
Not much else going on that is blog worthy. I'll post pictures once I find my camera, charger, and brain.
